vBSocial Notifications 8.0 Release Date

Greetings vBSocial Users, members, VIPs,

For those of you wondering, we are expecting to release vBSocial 8.0 for vBulletin 4 in the 2-3 of weeks. My goal is May 31st, 2013 to have everything ready to go.

The new upgrades will fix:

-broswers issues
-facebook connect glitch
-dozens of other weird issues

But it will also bring a new fresh breath of air to the way forums interact. Theirs been a major rehaul:

-Improved design
-Improved search
-private messaging system
-ajax reputation system upgrades
-Social Ecosystem improvements for virality.
-Building a "forum network" using a very nice navigation improvement..very helpful if you own a network of forums.
-Other new features
-Responsive design

Hoping for to release it May 31st, 2013 for vB4, and a
vB5 version around June 15th - but we'll see.

Facebook Group ID Issue

No matter what Facebook Group ID I paste into the "Enter Facebook Group id which you want to sync with this forum," after pasting then saving... the Group ID becomes "2147483647"

Currently running V4 4.2.0 Patch Level 3

Usercp Privacy Option

I have been trying to get my Albums to be seen from the Guest account when I have found out that the Usercp Privacy Options are unavailable from me even for root. I have setup a question in vbulletin.com for this issue and that is here:

This is the error I get when I try to access the usercp from the vbSocial Notifications.

Admin, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

If anyone has any suggestions to resolve this it would be greatly appreciated.

Now the reason I post this is that I wonder if this issue caused the installation errors that I had. I just thought I would point this out.

How to hide Reputation Boxes for privacy - vBSocial Notifications

I recently noticed that a forum wasn't using vBSocial Notifications due to the lack of privacy. I thought about this for a second and realized interesting point. Perhaps users didn't like who gave negative or postitive reputation points to another, after all it does affect how people rate one another. If you gave a poor reputation to a user that was your friend, would they still think the same of you?

Go into admincp > plugins & products > plugin manager > Find Product : vBsocial Notifications Ultimate > Post Reputation > Uncheck box > Click "Save active Status."

That should hide all the rep boxes to keep them private.

This latest update of vBulletin 5 Connect includes well over 440 bug fixes and enhancements to the product. Most of these fixes and updates focused on:

Performance Optimization � incremental improvements over 5.0 and 5.0.1 in terms of speed and load times. Optimization of slow queries and improved caching were two of the primary categories that were targeted to bring about these changes. A �Tiger Team� was stood up that focused on decreasing page load times and optimization of the API, database and javascript to produce an outcome that has proven to be measurably faster than its predecessor.

Has Notifications 7.3 been tested with 4.2.1?

Notifications touches a lot of parts of Vbulletin, and the 4.2.1 seems to have modified a LOT of files. Can you confirm that everything is still working with the new update?

I upgraded to vB 4.2.1 everything seems alright.

Finally tried to install vBSocial Wall 2.3 but got the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function fetch_version_array() in /home/digitald/www/www/includes/adminfunctions_plugin.php on line 1039

That error now appears in my main page for admincp. ( However the rest seems of admincp seems to work ).

The vBSocial Wall plugin is not load in the plugins section.

I can't download !!

Server issues with Cloud Hosting, possible?

Apologies for the sporadic downtime.. Our hosting seems to have a SAN4 outage..which in terms of "cloud hosting" is an equivalent to having downtime, on yes, a cloud server service.

I personally thought the concept behind cloud computing was 100% uptime through the use of redundancy technology, servers backing up servers, hard drives backing up hard drives, power backing up power and so on.

In result, it has left a lot of corrupted tables across our network of sites.

Sorry once again for the downtime. We will be performing maintenance throughout the week to fix the damages.
